Interior heaters inside the vehicle increase comfort
Warm surfaces and contact surfaces.
It’s not just in the cold season that you long for the comfort of a pleasantly temperate environment. The surfaces that a person comes into direct contact with or that are in the immediate vicinity of a person play a crucial role here. If you heat it, touching the surface is perceived as pleasant and comfortable. This can be noticed, for example, with a heated steering wheel, a heated joystick or a heated armrest.
Radiating surfaces with interior heating are perceived as warm and pleasant by emitting infrared radiation. Surfaces such as door panels, roof linings, or dashboard panels are suitable for this.
Attaching our heating elements to various parts of the vehicle interior and equipment significantly increases the driver’s comfort. It’s not just about comfort for the driver and passengers, but also about health and safety.
Comfort through infrared radiation
The heated surfaces also emit infrared radiation. This is perceived by the human body as warmth, like the sun’s rays on the skin. By heating interior surfaces such as door panels, vehicle floors or roof lining, thermal comfort can be increased using infrared radiation.
Particularly with electric vehicles, this means that space heating can be reduced and the range can be increased.
Application example:
Heating element for a heated floor mat
The installation or integration of the heating elements must not change or adversely affect the structure of the original component. The heating system is therefore optimally adapted. To integrate a heating element into the floor mat of a tractor, a special carrier material was selected that is tailored to the manufacturing process of the floor mat and does not have a negative impact on it.
Application example:
Palm rest cushion of a joystick
The hand rest of a joystick should be heated to prevent your hand from cooling down when you use the joystick for long periods and concentrate. The suitable geometry of the heating surfaces and the correct performance of the heating element were determined and optimized for perfect installation at the customer’s site. The adapted cable set with a switch for operating the heating element completes the system. Thermography shows the even distribution of heat on the leather surface of the palm rest.
